Every student in America deserves the opportunity to know how to make empowering decisions in and out of school.

Decisions start somewhere

Students make hundreds of decisions every day.

Some are small.

Some are life-changing.

Yet most students are never taught to examine what is influencing those decisions in the first place.

Chelo's Anatoliah Workshop introduces a simple idea:

Before every decision, there is a combination of focus, self-talk, and emotions influencing the outcome.

Intro

Where is Anatolia and why is it important?
Chelo will invite a volunteer from the audience to participate for a chance to win a prize.

3 steps to make better decisions

#1 FOCUS:

What am I paying attention to?

Chelo shares the importance of focusing on what matters before making decisions, both inside and outside of the classroom. Students learn that what they focus on often shapes the way they talk to themselves.

#2 SELF-TALK:

What does it mean to me?

Chelo shares the importance of guarding the mind and heart from negative self-talk, especially in a world where students are constantly exposed to pressure, comparison, and distraction. Students learn that self-talk often shapes how they feel.

#3 EMOTIONS:

How did it make me feel?

Chelo shares the importance of managing the emotions triggered by internal conversations. Students learn that emotions often become the final bridge between what they experience and the decisions they make.

Q&A

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts, and connect real-life situations to the framework. Chelo will guide the conversation by tying student questions back to focus, self-talk, emotions, and the decisions they make inside and outside of school.

The 5-Day Culture Challenge

The 5-Day Culture Challenge is a simple school-wide reinforcement tool designed to help students practice better decision-making beyond the workshop. Each day focuses on one positive action students can apply immediately: focus, respectful words, kindness, positive choices, and appreciation. The challenge gives schools a practical way to keep the message alive throughout the week while encouraging students to build a stronger, more supportive school culture one decision at a time.

Material

Each session includes a guided reflection sheet students use to apply the framework during and after the workshop, helping reinforce better decisions beyond the session. Schools must print and provide the guided reflection sheet to students before the workshop begins.
